Robotically, learning things being taught in school is not a bad thing at all. Following instructions, adopting a routine, and systematizing things are essential elements of skills acquisition, after all. But what is mostly lacking which is very alarming among most students and the general public as well is the interest or motivation to critically know, understand or comprehend, scrutinize, and even criticize established schools of thought. Obama was elected by a majority of this country to change the focus of our government. Our great past republican leaders seem to look beyond the interior of our great country and only focus on what the rest of the world is doing. While we struggle as everyday Americans, our previous government administration had blinders on. But, American history has been finally been made. Obama has sparked enthusiasm in America. He is creating what I call the real pursuit of the American dream. He wants every American to have the dream and success that he has had in his life. He is trying to give everyone the opportunity to progress their education towards their present career and future careers. With creating more government grants and scholarships for every American, he has turned one initiative towards the U.S. Obama moms! So we praise you Obama, here are some facts about the Obama moms scholarship and grants. Character education is a term which is often heard and everyone claims to know what this term means. But in actual terms there are not so many people who have a clear understanding of this very important phrase. To comprehend this term, let’s begin with the term character. What is character? A character is the reflection of ones personality. Your traits, your habits, what you do, what you say, the way you walk, talk, eat, deal with people all comprises your character and personality.

Character education is, as defined by Lickona, “the deliberate, proactive effort to develop good character in kids—or, more simply, to teach children right from wrong. It assumes that right and wrong do exist, that there are objective moral standards that transcend individual choice—standards like respect, responsibility, honesty, and fairness—and that we should teach these directly to young people.” (more…)
